Fighting Sedentary Life style
By: Ing Ong

I spent most of my working life in the corporate world working 7 hours a day in front of a computer and piles of piles of paper to complete every day. But my heart and my soul always been into fitness. After having the 2nd child I was overweight and my dad kept reminding me to get back into shape before it was too late. I was thankful to my dad’s advice that is kept on ringing in my ears to this day.

25 years in the desk bound job, I spent my 7 hours or more sitting down ; however, I kept myself active by running, joining the local gym and in a dance group, riding my bike to take my son to school. I would never miss a day without exercising. Love the environment and love the connection between my body and the environment.

However, to start to get into the habit of exercising is not always easy. Here are a few tips that you can use :

** Look back into your previous lifestyle in high school - do you want to have that fitness and energy ? Embrace the feeling then use it as your motivation. If you were not active in high school - look to the people around you who is fit and healthy and ask how they feel and use their explanation as your driving factor.

** Find a trainer/fitness instructor that you are comfortable in confiding your goals and your weaknesses. She will assist you to find the right program that suits our goals and your preference.Be connected to your trainer.

** Start exercising at your own level and enjoy the moment of being with your body and your surrounding. Listen to your body and push yourself if you feel that you can do it. And at the end reward yourself with the sweat and the energy you gain from moving around your body,

Hope this helps and please contact me immediately and do not postpone your desire to achieve those goals.
